Chacun a son gout. A 90 minute version of a mediocre 2h 45m minute musical. Its nice to see Chita - but the show is as d.o.a. now as it was in Chicago all those years ago. The book is weak. The score has nothing to do with the subject, and there is no dramatic tension.

I love Kanded & Ebb. I like a lot of John Doyles work.

But I think the 'Best Musical' will clearly be fought between Fun Home and American in Paris (and Something Rotten Act 1). I dont think The Visit has a prayer. IMHO/
