I wish I could remember exactly what she said, but opera soprano Anita Rachvelishvili (Carmen at the Met, etc) did something like that on one of the radio broadcasts this season (was it opening night, I think - or maybe New Year's Eve? It was one of those "special occasion" nights in any case). The host for the backstage proceedings asked her about her dress, and she pointedly refused to talk about it and actually said that she would not say who designed it. For me - I've just never been a fashion show/red carpet kind of person. I really could care less what any celeb is wearing. That whole aspect of any of these awards shows/galas/etc just bores me to tears, and I don't watch them. But I know some fans live for that stuff, so I'm sure it's never really going to go away. But it is nice to see that some women have decided they won't stand for the hype anymore.
