After losing her high school best friend to a hook-handed serial killer, Lexi must learn what it means to grow up, young and female, in a world that's sometimes dangerous and lonely. Karen Ripley has been performing for more than 35 years as a comic and improviser. She came on to the gay comedy scene in 1977 in San Francisco, and has won several awards for her work as a playwright and performer, including Best Musical Comedy for the original play Show Me Where It Hurts at the 2005 SF Fringe Festival. A longtime comedian and improviser, Ms. Ripley was named one of Ms. Magazine’s top 100 Lesbian Comics in 2009.
