I don't know what wmgrad1976 would say, but personally I would eliminate Something Rotten! in favor of It Shoulda Been You. Because I haven't seen a couple of the productions that received a lot of nominations, I would hesitate in some categories to say who I would eliminate in favor of one of the excellent It Shoulda Been You performers. Even in one or two categories where I could, I won't because, well, I generally like a couple of those performers but I don't feel that the work for which they got nominated was especially strong. Note to wmgrad: Daly and Harris were ruled to be eligible in the featured or supporting, not lead, category. It was a strong year in some categories, and excellent as they both were, I'm not sure that they were better than those who were nominated. Still, I doubt anyone could be better than Daly and Harris in those roles.
