Oh, yes. The entire thing was breathtaking in parts; and to feel that kind of emotion, that sense of 'being there,' when seeing it in a movie theatre is really extraordinary, IMO.

The ending, for sure, Jesse! That square they can't escape, and that scrum/embrace; losing the image of each individual player until they are almost indistinguishable from each other in the blood that ties them together.

This is the third "View" I've seen, and I think the one I will remember most, particularly for tableaux like the one you mention.

Last year, I was lucky enough to be at the BAM Talk with Ivo Van Hove and Tony Kushner prior to "Angels," and the opportunity to learn more about his directorial approach has added to my perspective and appreciation of his work.
