I remember "Standing on the Corner" and "Big D" being treated like pop tunes by various media outlets, helping perk interest in the show. Unfortunately, the tv networks sold off their music interests in the 1980s and this source of cross promotion dried up some. Remember, I pointed out that this was done with Mack the Knife" for "Threepenny Opera."
