Suburban living has a unique set of challenges for those in certain lines of work. Just ask the bickering couple at the center of Dan Lauria's new play, Dinner With the Boys, which just opened at the Acorn Theatre. Going out every day, performing hits, concocting outlandish-yet-believable stories about what happened, and then finding some way to cover up afterwards—it ain't easy, especially when you're homemakers at heart. And when you're not even technically a couple in the romantic sense, but instead just bond over your shared vocation and adoration of Italian food, it becomes even more challenging. . . .
