If they did it, I'd be interested in seeing it. The score, by those old pros Johnny Burke and Jimmy Van Heusen, is probably not bad at all. But the two-week run of the original (especially considering the star power of Gaxton and Moore in the cast) suggests that either the book is unbelievably bad, or that the original production was incredibly badly directed. If the latter was the case, the show may be salvageable; if the former, probably not. Or probably not without an extensive rewrite that might make things worse.
