...and not even playing commercially in London...

I don't know why you believe this is remotely relevant. All of Stoppard's recent Broadway transfers -- The Invention of Love, The Coast of Utopia, and Rock and Roll -- came from non-commercial companies (and with the exception of the latter, all from the National, where The Hard Problem currently resides).
