Michael Riedel's March 14, 2014 column was headlined: 'Bullets Over Broadway' on target to kill at Tonys. He wrote: ''RAT-a-tat-tat! That machine-gun fire you hear coming from the St. James Theatre is the sound of a hit. “Bullets Over Broadway” has been in previews just three days, and already those in the know — that would be me! — are sensing it’s the show to beat this season.'' Another notable prediction: In Dori Bernstein's Broadway documentary, ''Show Business,'' Riedel is part of a press roundtable, and he says he can't see an audience for ''Avenue Q.'' And in Jeffry Denman's book ''A Year With the Producers,'' Denman recalls another Riedel prediction: ''I tell him about 'The Producers.' He says to me with a sarcastic tone: 'I can't wait to see that. Has all the makings of a floperoo.' ''
