I admire LuPone but I thought it was ridiculous to cast her in REGINA. I'm sure she acted it beautifully (she should have done THE LITTLE FOXES back in the day) but the minuses would seem to outweigh the pluses. How did she handle the chilling a capella high C ("I'll be waiting!") that brings down the curtain on Act II?
