It's only "amalgamating" them because of how you have chosen to view the forum. Click in the upper right to toggle between "Threaded Mode" and "Flat Mode," and you will see the difference. I normally use "threaded mode." When I switch to "flat mode", I can't find my earlier posts at all, that's how useless I am. The message I got was "The following message that you posted has been moved to an earlier thread on the same subject" so that's what I meant by TPTB amalgamating them. But I'm happy to wait and post all at once ... I'll just put "long" in the title as a warning.
