NEW - ZORBA - Talkin' Broadway's Review

Matthew Murray takes a look at Zorba:

It's ironic, if not also comfortingly correct, that those who understand life the best are those who have the least of it left. Watching John Turturro and Zoë Wanamaker in the City Center Encores! production of Zorba, which is playing through this weekend, reinforces this as little else can. Not only can they convince you that their aged characters are the youngest people onstage, they can also almost convince you that the Joseph Stein–John Kander–Fred Ebb musical they're in is every bit as fresh and worthwhile as they are. . . .
