THE KATZENJAMMER KIDS was earlier than T thought--1900, eight performances at the 3rd Avenue Theatre. Written, directed, produced and starring Edwrd Blondell.

1902 saw brief runs from HAPPY HOOLIGAN and ALPHONSE AND GASTON, with an equally short appearance from MICKEY FINN in the following year.
