The 1957 flop RUMPLE starred Eddie Foy and Gretchen Wyler. I don't remember who wrote it. I don't think anyone does.

Caspar the Friendly Ghost was the basis for CASPAR THE FRIENDLY MUSICAL which originated as a West End puppet show, came to the States as a full-fledged musical, and then followed the title character's example and died on the road in 2001. Even leading lady Chita Rivera couldn't breathe life into it.

Irving Phillips wrote the book for RUMPLE. The score was by Ernest Schweikert and Frank Reardon.

The team wrote many songs recorded by Como, Holliday, Lombardo, and other very popular artists of that era.
