Might it be possible for you to simply post that you didn't like it and the reasons why without belittling people who did like it? What exactly is Broadway quality? Portofino? Or to use one of your own examples, The Utter Glory of Morrissey Hall? If producers choose to keep a show running for a bit, in hopes that it will catch on, what's wrong with that? In addition, the reviews for the show were far from universally negative. They were fairly equally divided among favorable, mixed and negative. I wouldn't say that overall they were great, or even favorable, but there was a fair number of favorable ones and some mixed ones. It's not as if it got the kinds of reviews that Buttrio Square received. And even during the period when critics had a more pronounced influence, there were shows that kept going in the face of negative reviews, sometimes catching on, sometimes not.
