Bad theatre begets good theatre. Anyone involved in making or consuming (in a serious way) theatre needs to understand that.

Now it is of course true that some folks here liked the show (for what it is or otherwise) and some (including me) didn't. But another thing that people need to understand is that the measure of whether or not a show belongs on (commercial) Broadway is whether it can make money. Broadway has never been a place exclusively for the high quality show. This show hasn't proven that it can make money (yet), and I didn't think it could, and it may not, but it is not at a point to be written off on that basis. But just as a show like Hamilton marks a high tide that hopefully raises all boats, so too a show like Shoulda, if it fails, teaches us an important lesson about what can float and what can't. In any event, as stated below, while an expression of one's distaste for a show is reasonable, attempting to translate that into a pretext for condescension not so much.
