dramedy, I saw the Melbourne production twice, and there weren't any toy planes or 3d projections. Instead, many planes were heard, and a dazzling series of rapid light beams stabbed Kong all over his body; he writhed and roared.

It was a bit disappointing, really, since Kong had been given much the best dialogue (grunts and sniffs) and songs (none) of the evening. He deserved a better 11 o'clock climax.
