I could see where John Adams comes off as rather obnoxious and disliked at times, but Benjamin Franklin and Abigail certainly like him as played by William Daniels. We'll see what kind of box-office Alexander does when he takes over for Larry David in his play, but Alexander, while rather jovial at times in "Jerome Robbins' Broadway" years ago, has become rather hard in the many years since that time. I'd rather see someone else as Adams too.
