Damn. I hate when that happens. I think I wrote something like "I suspect that Encores! would do a bunch of other Rodgers and Hart shows before they would consider By Jupiter." Its long run seems to have had to do with Ray Bolger being a big draw at the time and with the Depression finally being over. It was around 1940 that musicals did start running longer again. The reviews were not nearly as good as the reviews that a lot of earlier Rodgers and Hart shows had received (which I'm sure you know).
