I went tonight, I'm not very good at gauging crowd size, but I think there were easily over 500 people vying for the $10 tickets. Lin Manuel came out briefly and said "I think we're going to be here for a while so don't be upset if you don't win." I've been doing lotteries since the Rent days and the only time I've ever seen so many people was the final performance of Rent. When it ended traffic was stopped on 46th Street because there were so many people. I wouldn't be surprised if they decide to go online only, it was an absolute zoo. And I didn't win.
