Next time, consider taking BART to Berkeley. The Downtown Berkeley station is a block away from Berkeley Rep and Aurora. Really looking forward to DOGFIGHT in a couple of weeks. I've really enjoyed their musicals consistently over the past few years. (and REALLY looking forward to CITY OF ANGELS) Personally, I guess I'm not as familiar with the film (although I was charmed when seeing it originally and somewhat less so when rescreening before a Paris visit a few years ago). I had no issue with the differences. I had no problem with the non-accordian and general defrogging. However, in particular, it was just ridiculous for the characters refer to the cafe as "The Two Windmills" when "Les Deux Moulins" (sic?) hangs above the stage in lights.
