Google said I was an hour away by bus & Bart (same as the drive) and I wasn't sure about coming back at night on unfamiliar public transport. I think it was 2 Barts and a bus. I guess I don't get your sign reference - they were in Paris, where the signs are in French, but they were speaking English, because they are performing for an American audience. That part made sense to me.
