Black Olive Jazz Kay Kostopoulos Saturday, October 24th at 8pm


Kay draws from her acting background and from her Mediterranean heritage to establish a unique sound in Jazz. The evening will trace an evolution from the Broadway stage to jazz standards. After a sold-out engagement in January, Melissa O’Keefe returns to Feinstein’s at the Nikko for one night only on October 21st with the premiere of her brand new cabaret, “Uptown Girl.”


Exploring one of her favorite artists/song writers, Billy Joel, Uptown Girl is an intimate cabaret affair, taking the greatest hits – and lesser-known gems – of Billy Joel and putting a whole new spin on them. Not your father’s Billy Joel, she will cover these story-telling songs through all new arrangements and genres of music, including big band, bluegrass, Jazz, funk, samba, swing and more! O’Keefe will once again be joined on stage by David Möschler (Musical Direction/Piano), Daniel Fabricant (Bass/Guitar) and Russ Gold (Percussion). The show is produced by Daren Carollo, with art direction by Jessica Barr.

The inimitable Charles Busch returns to Feinstein’s at the Nikko with his all-new show, Charles Busch, That Girl/That Boy. The two-time MAC Award winner, Tony nominee, and drag legend brings to Feinsteins at the Nikko an eclectic program of songs both contemporary and from the past. New York Times critic Stephen Holden wrote, “He has the gift of comic gab like few other entertainers. Innately funny, endearing and acutely intelligent, he also has claws. For an audience, the possibility of being scratched, although remote, lends his humor a bracing edge. ” Accompanied by his dashing longtime musical director, Tom Judson, Charles combines hilarious personal reminiscence, character sketches and superb storytelling through song into one glittering, hilarious and glamorous evening in cabaret.

Sharon McNight presents Sophie Tucker's Farewell TourSharon McNight, Tony Award nominee and Theater World Award winner for her role in “Starmites”, has gone on to a celebrated bi-coastal career, being voted Best Actress receiving the San Francisco Bay Area Critics’ Circle Award and winning the New York Critics Nightlife Award for Best Musical Theater Cabaret Show. She recently made her opera debut in “Show Boat” with the San Francisco Opera Company.


Sharon has been performing the works of Sophie Tucker for more than two decades. Sophie, who livened up early 20th century nightclubs, Broadway and films with her risque jokes and classic popular songs, , had a career that spanned half a century. Tucker was widely known as the “Last of the Red Hot Mamas.”


Sophie Tucker’s Farewell Tour” has all the ingredients for a memorable night out in a classic cabaret, great songs introduced by Tucker, including: “After You’ve Gone”; “They’ll Be Some Changes Made”; “Darktown Strutters’ Ball”; “Please Don’t Talk About Me When I’m Gone”; “The Man I Love” and her signature theme song, “Some of These Days.” Add Sophie’s naughty jokes, bawdy songs, sing-alongs and Sharon McNight’s once in a lifetime performance and you’ll have a night you will never forget.


Sophie was the first woman to sell one million records, her first record producer was Thomas Alva Edison and her last professional appearance was on the Ed Sullivan Show in 1966.


JOHN O HURLEY OCTOBER 30- 31 8 PM


John O’Hurley is best known as J. Peterman on “Seinfeld,” the #1 syndicated television show in the world, for which he won a Screen Actor’s Guild Award. He was also seen on the ABC hit “Dancing with the Stars,” ABC’s “Dance-Off!” and as the host of “Family Feud.” O'Hurley hosts the Purina National Dog Show every year which airs on NBC on Thanksgiving Day. He is one of the most recognizable voices on TV, appearing in dozens of animated productions including Nickelodeon’s “SpongeBob SquarePants” and NBC’s “Father of the Pride.”


Also a trained musician, O’Hurley’s first CD, Peace of Our Minds, a collaboration of his piano compositions with world-renowned cellist Marston Smith, debuted #13 on Billboard. His stage credits include starring roles in the national tours of Chicago, Spamalot, Pirates of Penzance, Gentlemen Prefer Blondes and Brigadoon. He is a New York Times bestselling author with three titles, including The Perfect Dog, which is becoming a stage musical. Most recently, John has recurring on the Lifetime series DEVIOUS MAIDS, opposite Susan Lucci.
