I saw it early on and posted about it on here, not sure if that post is still available.

What I enjoyed: Alma Cuervo, the costumes, the DANCING, and (surprisingly) the libretto.

What I didn't enjoy so much: one of the leads either had a bad night or was a poor choice for the role. Also, most of the ballads lacked any sort of dramatic punch necessary to be performed in a musical.

It's sort of BEAUTIFUL but for Gloria Estefan. However, far less interesting things were happening culturally in the world during the time period portrayed, eliminating the historical backdrop that I think ultimately makes BEAUTIFUL work and this (perhaps) not.

I also wish the show was called GET ON YOUR FEET! which is not only the actual name of that song but seems to sound like a more appealing title, at least to my ear. Maybe they were hoping to trick Rodgers/Hart fans into thinking it was a sequel to ON YOUR TOES. ;)

I've been wondering the same thing. So few postings, so little press, yet some nice grosses the first couple of weeks. Perhaps they came in with some heavy advance Sales?

There were a few posts early on if you do a search. Not sure if they're still accessible on the board? Mostly favorable I believe. There are a lot of posts about it on Broadway World.

They haven't been doing any papering or been on TDF (except for a few early previews) --- which accounts for the lack of posts from the people on this site.
