Well, I realize he's working with the existing script and the legend it creates, but a re-write might include the fact Brice lived with Arnstein for six years before marrying him, during which time he served a sentence at Sing Sing for wire tapping.

She was no innocent babe when they met (having been married once already), and I assume she knew what she was getting in to.
