I agree, but that's not what I meant. Several times, I have experienced or heard of situations where, after negative reviews, the audience response to a show is dampened as compared to the response before the reviews. That definitely was not the cast at the Wednesday evening performance of DAMES AT SEA; there was hearty laughter and very enthusiastic applause throughout, including one or two examples of applause in the middle of numbers.
