I have a CD of the Broadway album. Is there something about its production that I don't know?

Other than it sounds like it was recorded in a bathroom and the extra tracks are all at the end instead of where they come in the show, no.

Oh, I agree. It's just ghastly. It's startling how poorly done the transfer is.
