Here's the deal: This play is not very good, Mamet was gone for a bit. He should have been there to help Pacino through it especially when the director is just a lame duck and collecting her paycheck. This is what happens when you get over-inflated Hollywood stars whose performances ride on SELF-PARODY. He is a draw to a very small number of people these days: the bridge & tunnel crowd who want to see the GODFATHER in action, for one. The rest, those mesmerized by his celebrity and performances of days gone by. There are so many other plays waiting in the wings with actors who don't need tele-prompters or things like that. Bring those plays to production and SCRAP this mediocre play that's simply a money machine. The carnival barker producers can't rely on Pacino to be the guy he was on the boards 25 years ago (and yes I KNOW he loves the theatre, but quite frankly, who cares). But they CAN rely on you to fork over $100 to see this garbage.

Nothing else to see here...move on.
