Third show for April trip

Posted by: LoisP 02:39 pm EDT 10/31/15

Hi everyone,

As I eagerly await my November theatre weekend, I am almost finished planning my April trip. We were originally going to zip up for The Father and Shuffle Along, but I think I can throw in one more show. I am very interested in Hughie, not really enticed by Eclipsed even though a great pair of tickets is available for the one show we could make - or should I wait because I invariably fill all available slots and them something new pops up and I kick myself?

So - thoughts on those three options or another alternative?

Thanks!!

I would skip Eclipsed. I saw it at the Public and thought the play was week. What about The Robber Bridegroom with Steve Pasquale, She Loves Me, The Color Purple, The Crucible?

Interesting suggestions, thanks. We've seen two of them and I don't think my partner would like the other two. Well thought out and a great variety though.

I'd keep one slot open. I don't know about this Broadway production of Hughie, but I saw it at Mark Taper years ago with Al Pacino and was disappointed in both Pacino's performance as well as the show.

Last weekend trip I took, I had one slot open and did Ham for Hamilton lottery and I won :) Had I filled all my slots, I don't know if I tried for a lottery (I already had a ticket for Hamilton for another day).

Doesn't bode well for my trip to China Doll, but hopefully that will be a different story.

Seeing Hamilton this month! :-)

Thank you for your insight.

Seeing them both in November, so obviously you have great taste, ;-) Thanks!
