There should be no shame if compelling actors/personailities can shine brilliantly but need teleprompters or little ear-pieces to remember lines. Line-learning ability tends to drift as you pass 60. So what? It was thrilling to watch Stritch in the first preview of NIGHT MUSIC, even though I wished she'd allowed herself to use some sort of prompter. Brando started using an ear-piece in his career. Why not? It's not all about learning lines.
