It was the triple whammy of a Halloween two-performance day, the marathon and the switch to daylight savings time, which in-explicitly always causes a dip in sales.

Some have cited the Mets world series game, but I wonder how much cross-over effect that had?

extending hand to God into the fall was a huge mistake

But I'm sure the producers knew the risk. I think Forbes article reported a $270k weekly. If you take into account the grosses reported have to have 8- 10% taken off, the show has lost money all fall even if they were able to adjust the weekly nut a little lower. They probavly should have done a mini tour in some select cities in the fall and then go to London.

I think the prospect of Bob Saget over the holidays made them more willing to take the risk until he started.

Unless your show is dying or really losing money, producers want that lucrative last quarter of the year.

Seeing that the producer of HAND is also the producer of HAMILTON, SOMETHING ROTTEN, etc., do you really think you know something he doesn't?

The producer of HTG is most definitely not a producer of Hamilton. He is of SR.

You are exaggerating by a lot when you say "lucrative last quarter of the year." The final three months have many ups and downs. In fact, the first couple weeks of December are typically soft as people have so many competing activities. The final two weeks of the year are always boffo, but in no way is the last quarter of the year anything a producer can be confident about.

Not quite as uniformly dramatic drops dollar-wise, but yes.

Having Halloween 2015 hit on a two-performance day was no help
