Halloween on Saturday is the worst case scenario and when combined with the World Series creates a perfect storm.

I don't see how Dames makes it to the holidays.

How in the world did "On The Town" run for almost a FULL year when you (& others) had it continuously closing WEEKL to WEEK?
Miracles do happen, I guess!

You are a little confused (at least as it relates to me): I never "had it closing" because I understood that the producers were lunatics. What I said over and over was that it (like various other terribly produced shows with deep pockets) SHOULD close and WOULD close only when the landlord kicked them to the curb. The difference for Dames is that I don't think they have pockets that deep.

The last On the Town revival had producers with very deep pockets and who apparently didn't care how much money the show lost. That won't be the case with most shows.

Plus the Helen Hayes is a more desirable theater. No one was in a hurry to take the Lyric, but a lot of people probably want the Hayes.
