Are exquisite. The piano prelude in "It's Quiet Uptown" is simply perfection. So haunting, eloquent. Musical theater at its simplest and most evocative. Perfect, and not in any way less than the form demands. But listen to "Take a Break." This score is in many ways very traditional. Yes, I said it.
