Ulp. Nobody moved Lynn Nottage's RUINED to Broadway , but they moved this. Ms. Nottage must feel a little bad. It's what makes horseraces, I guess. Probably having such a beautiful Academy-Award winner in this play (which I feel is similar to RUINED from what I've read) made the difference. Or maybe the time is right-er. Or maybe it's a better or even a very different play. Oh well. Lynn Nottage has a fine career. I shouldn't feel bad for her. But I remember she did go public about her dissatisfaction with RUINED not moving to a Broadway contract. Everyone has to deal with unrealized dreams. Thwarted ambitions. That's what I contemplate when I saw this press release about ECLIPSED.
