I am FED up with Ticketmaster's misleading promotional emails that say "Only a few days away..."

Look, I have lot on my plate with work. Yet I still try to jam-pack my cultural calendar with events from the world of Broadway, classical music, opera, sometimes even ballet. I'm sorry that my head gets a little flustered and confused about my events and that my calendar looks like wreckage after a hurricane. But that's how I go about planning my life and my days. So the LAST thing I need is a misleading promotional email from Ticketmaster with the headline "Hamilton, just days away". The sheer panic and confusion at believing I've forgotten an upcoming event is absolutely terrifying! I feel like I've completely messed up my entire schedule and meetings and I end up doing a full stop to redo every day's schedule again. First of all, it has got to be illegal. I painstakingly make sure I go through every offer for promotions while purchasing tickets and UNCHECK any offer. I make sure of this. I know I didn't sign up for any promotions. So for them to send me emails like this has got to be a violation of the law. Second and more important, it is soooo sleazy! They must not have a shred of self-respect to resort to tricking their customers into clicking on their emails! I just wrote to them but who knows what impact I'll have. It's absolutely unacceptable. It's one thing to send out truly promotional emails but to trick you into thinking your event is just a few days away when it's not is just wrong!

Have you considered creating a mail filter?

You should be able to program your mail software to send messages with "just days away" (or whatever words you choose) in the subject line directly into your trash.
