IMHO (and without knowing you at all) I highly advocate that you see this show. It is not about commercializing 9/11. I know Irene Sankoff and David Hein and they are truly lovely people, nothing about them or their show is as cynical as you are afraid it could be. It is a show that wants to celebrate the best part of humanity, of people reaching out to one another during a time of loss and heartbreak. At the very least listen to the music, hear its story. You might feel differently after that.
