i was thinking the same thing about being settled. It's around the same time that the masses of critics have seen the show, so the performances they are recording are given in close proximity to what the world has been told is being seen on stage. Not to say a performer cannot grow. I always think of Mary Stuart Masterson in the revival of Nine. She was fine at opening. I went back three times over the run, including the closing week, and it was like she learned how to be a musical theatre performer over the course of the run. The performance she was giving at the end was far superior in every way to the beginning. Just an anecdote.
