Los Angeles Vintage Paperback Book Collectors Show, this Sunday

Hey, SoCal chatters, this isn't exactly a theatre event, but if you dig through the tables and booths of the eighty book dealers here, you probably will find some theatre-related books (libretti, bios, etc.). And there are authors, signing stuff for free, and some of them have connections to our world: Bruce Kimmel of Kritzerland Records, with his two-volume autobiography and his mystery and YA novels with musical-related plots;, actor-playwright David Pollack (love his book on comedy duo Bob and Ray); and my own guy, Harry Turtledove, who once wrote a novel with Will Shakespeare and Spanish playwright Lope de Vega as the main POVS, as well as a short story involving the Bard witnessing a production of ROSENKRANTZ AND GUILDENSTERN ARE DEAD. Yeah, it's a stretch. :) Lots of other writers, too, mostly from the science fiction and mystery genres.

Anyway, it's all day Sunday at the Glendale Civic Auditorium and it's only $5.00. They have a snack bar, too, if you get hungry waiting for all those autographs.

Laura, shamelessly drumming up business
