and for a more "paper-like" New York Times experience, I use the Today's Paper app on my iPad. For the same thing online, on the NYTimes site, at the top, click on Today's Paper (right underneath the large New York Times lettering). You need to be a subscriber for both.

They basically give you the same stories and layout as that day's paper New York Times edition. (It's not a facsimile though. You can get that too.)

Of course, you don't want to use Today's Paper for breaking news that you're following, but for everything else it's great. It goes live about 4 a.m. each day. (Don't ask me how I know that.) You can choose to see the previous days' papers also.

I started using it after getting frustrated with the website and seeing the same stories day after day.

Give it a try and see how you like it!
