That's a good question about David Hyde Pierce's accent. To me, it sounded like he was imitating Walter Matthau, who played Horace in the movie with Barbra Streisand. I wondered why Horace & Ambrose had long floppy hair and all of the other men did not. Is it because they are rubes from Yonkers? If so, then why did Cornelius & Barnaby have shorter, styled hair? Or is it that Horace doesn't care and Ambrose is an artist? Not that hair ruminations kept me from enjoying the show, but it didn't make any sense to me.
