Read this in high school when it came out and still remember parts very vividly. I keep meaning to dig it out and reread it. A friend of mine grew up with Keeler's daughters (in San Francisco) and remembers learning that her friend Kathy's mom was really an old movie star. No one really knew or paid attention since she'd been out of the limelight for so long.
