There are rules Miss Honey ..... Tony eligibility rules.

The second part says that Tony voters must be invited to a performance free of charge. One would expect Andy Karl would be back on stage by the time of the nominations.

To get around the first part Andy could walk through the first scene and Andrew could take over from there. The rules do not mention that to be eligible you have to complete the opening night performance though to curtain call etc.
