Yes, Nati did it first in Spain and latter in Mexico. For obvious reasons, El Hombre de la Mancha was done in Spain very soon after the Broadway premiere. I think it may have been in 1966, the Mexico City production is from 1969. She even recorded a single with some of the songs, not a cast recording though. She always sang The Impossible Dream in her TV performances.

Her singing of the traditional Spanish repertoire (zarzuela, pasodobles, and more classical stuff) is really amazing. She could be very very funny in a droll way. She also did a lot of poetry recitation with music, but that was a bit more over the top.

She could have been an incredible Carlota in Follies.
