Belladonna. Actually, I don't think there wil be a paucity of patrons for Ms. Murphy's performance. While Bette is one singular sensation, I think the show has so many other attributes that many will be curious to see another performer of Donna's stature in the role. Didn't it survive after Channing stepped out of the role she originated? And isn't that guy from Frasier in it? Beanie Feldstein's Broadway debut is a revelation, Kate Baldwin is pitch-perfect, ditto Gavin Creel. Great costumes, scenery (un-chewed by Midler), and choreography that shouldn't be missed. Let's see what happens.
