I have a very good memory, at least in the short term. I don't take notes, because I don't want to distract audience members around me, nor actors who might see me from the stage. I have to write the review pretty quickly after seeing the performance. In fact, I often am trying out lines for the review in my head while watching the show and going home afterward. This method works well for me, except that I can't quote lines unless there's a script available. Usually, one isn't offered but I can get a copy temporarily from the company if I ask.
