If you want a place with dripping with vitriol--there's no place like All That Chat, where people rake actors (who are still eking out a living and a career) over the coals for not being able to potentially carry a revival of the probably unrevivable "They're Playing Our Song;" where someone who runs a tiny theatre company( that's run on guts and heart and impossible hours are worked) gets bashed around for shows that haven't even been staged or rehearsed; and where a sincere, polite poster is nastily accused of homophobia and cultural appropriation when she compliments "Fun Home," even though some posters claim a musical written by Stephen Sondheim and John Weidman is authentically "Japanese."
I'll take the critics as a group any day. |
