| Nothing wrong with elevating the universal. And I am not doing it at the "expense" of the specific"; I am fully aware of the repressive, closeted gay characters in FUN HOME . The point is that many can identify with the loneliness and isolation of those characters despite having little to no experience with being a closeted homosexual. Sorry if that is "offensive". |
