| The Richard Allen Theater as I remember. She was priceless as the mother. It was one of those cases of actress meet role. I found Ms Bancroft, ordinarily an extraordinary actress and comedienne, wanting in the screen version. I think they would have done much better to have cast Ms. Getty who by the time of the film's release was becoming a star thanks to her exposure o n Golden Girls. I realize, of course they had no way of knowing that. |
