| The Sunday Clothes number almost made weep; It's possible my eyes are allergic to pastel colors but I don't think so. Driving around back home in Ann Arbor , I had to pull over and park 'cause I really did cry while listening to the Sunday number on the new cd. Recently,I got a post card in the mail, an add for a religious magazine. It's a prayer by Sir Thomas More (Henry the 8th cut More's head off, etc)... When in NYC, I often go to Frick Museum to look at the Holbein painting of More;( This time I lucked out; There were two rooms with a special Turner exhibit); Anyway this card reminded me of Dolly Levi and Miss Bette Midler."Grant me a sense of good humor...the grace to be able to take a joke, to discover in life a bit of joy and to share it with others"; Sorry for overlapping into religion- if that's what this post is.. I wont do it again. It's just that Jerry Herman & Co., Miss Midler and co., gave me a jolt of joy, which I'm still feeling 2 months later. Thanks to all; or maybe it Was the pastels. thanks |
